Touching up T&D pool patio paint. Are you kidding?
Has anyone had to touch up the deck paint and found it doesn't match? A little after a year (naturally out of warranty) there were some small touch ups to be done and I realized T&D had not left a touch up can as TV does with all your house colors. T&D first insisted they did, then told me the paint comes from TV. I called TV Warranty and finally got the color, went to ColorWheel, got a can, painted the spots and voila. It didn't match. I thought maybe it needed to blend over time. I waited. Nope.
Five months go by and I start the process over. I call TV and they say it comes from T&D. I speak to T&D, in fact I speak to Randy, and he says it will never match. Even the can they leave you will never match. huh? Even if it is just a couple months later. It happens all the time. Basically, he could only suggest to repaint the entire deck at $1 a foot. Am I annoyed? You betcha. Spending $1,000 to repair the touch ups is insane. I would have been very happy had they left the touch up can. How far off would it be? Right now, it looks like I have white compared to gray it is so far off.
Anyone else have a similar experience? Or how did you get the paint to match?
