If you are using a PC and have the current Windows 8 or 8.1, you already have internet security included with the operating system. Using an additional program is not recommended regardless of whether it is free or not.

Also, if you have previous versions of Windows installed, you can download Microsoft Security software for free. I have used this for several years and have managed to stay "bug" free.
