My brother was always very lean and healthy in his younger years. But it seems he developed a "sweet-tooth" as he got older and slowly gained a lot of weight over several decades. I think that suggests he may have developed insulin resistance, overworking his pancreas. And lots of sugar kept his body acidic which cancer thrives on. I don't know if he developed diabetes but he died of pancreatic cancer and there was never any family history of this.
It just shows that the risk is there even if one supposedly has good genes.
