Susan, You may want to google "dog beaches Florida".. We've taken our RV to Ft DeSoto and always have our dogs with us. We had fun with them at their dog park and their dog beach. Also google Ft DeSoto. It is not a state park. I think it is a Pinellas County Park. As I remember there is a separate camping area for those with dogs and and area where dogs are not permitted. Beautiful Park!
