If you exceed 20 MPH and have an "incident" your insurance company can deny you coverage. I was told that one of the first things they check is see what speed the cart is set to. That's done with software these days. You can buy a street legal cart which will let you go faster but the cart manufactures put a premium price on them and they must be registered. If you run them on the intermodal paths they must be 20MPH. As with most things, it's all about the risk you want to assume. Make sure you have uninsured motorist coverage, l folks are driving around without insurance here.
