From my point of view, everyone should do what they can to maintain good health. This means we should not just depend on medicine and doctoring to keep us healthy. Keeping trim and mentally and physically fit probably has the most benefit to the most people. Diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, vascular disease and many dementias appear to be less amongst people who are fit and active. Most of these diseases also respond favorably to weight loss and activity. On this forum, we often speak of self "responsibility" for oneself. In my opinion, we should personally do everything within our own power to keep our health. Eat sensibly and maintain a healthy weight. Exercise your brain every day. Live everyday like its your last and you'll never have regrets.
