Some very educated people are very lacking in knowledge of the way the body works and of chemical processes. Some people who are expert in law do not understand physics or genetics, etc.
As I have said before
how disease is spread and
what to do about it is the most important criteria in this crisis in my opinion. A person knowledgable about the ways of hospitals and the duties of medical workers can then say to staffers, I want you to shut down this or quarantine that or commandeer that barracks etc, etc. You have to think like a scientist to stop Ebola.
I am relieved to hear that 45 of the 48 who had something to do with the original patient have been released from quarantine.
But the Ebola crisis is far from over.
