For comparison:

In MA I pay a private hauler (Waste Mgt.) around $38 per month for trash pickup (they provide a large bin) 1 per week. Every other week on the same day they pick up recycles (in bins they provide). They take everything i put out even if it goes over the one trash bin or the two recycle bins.
