I am a Yankee and have lived in the south. Southerners are very hospitable, cordial, friendly and whatever other nice adjectives you would like to apply to the way they are.
However . . . if you aren't a southerner and weren't born there, you will never be truly accepted. In short, you simply aren't one of them.
