Default Dec. 6-Mt. Dora Jazz at Modernism Museum on Caligari Piano

Christmas on the Caligari!
For those of you Villagers waiting for a different adventure away from The Villages. It is a special jazz concert at the recently opened Modernism Museum in Mount Dora. This concert features internationally-performing, grammy-nominated jazz musicians Per and Tamara Danielsson who will perform on a one-of-a-kind Steinway piano designed by Wendell Castle. Tamara will accompany on her alto-saxophone. This evening is sure to be a unique way to begin celebrating Christmas/Holidays. Admission includes the concert which begins at 7:00 p.m. and followed by the exhibit at the Museum. Members cost is $15; non-members cost is $20. SPACE IS LIMITED and I received an advance email invite today, so wanted to see if anyone would be interested in joining me. My car can accommodate 4 Villager people comfortably. If anyone would be interested, we could arrange to travel to Mount Dora in the afternoon to have a nice meal, and tour the downtown area.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED WE PURCHASE OUR TICKETS ASAP !

Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Call (352) 385-0034 or stop by the museum Tuesday - Sunday, 10am - 5pm to purchase your tickets.

Modernism Museum - Events

Dubbed the "Caligari," Castle's piano is inspired by the visual design of the classic 1920 horror film "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" and German Abstract Expressionist art. The angular, white wooden frame encases a fully-functional Model L Steinway grand piano.
