Thanksgiving was always somewhat challenging for my family when I was young. We lived about an hour away from both sets of grandparents and both expected us for a meal. So we would drive to one house for a mid-day meal and to the other for an evening meal. It was nice since we would see our cousins, but challenging because we had to eat enough at the first meal to make Grandma happy, but not so much that we could not eat enough at the second meal to keep that Grandma happy. LOL
But, the Thanksgiving meal I remember most is the one we were snowed in and couldn't travel to either house. All we had was an Appian Way pizza kit. So our big "meal" was a piece of homemade pizza from a box!
