The real point, is that the developer is in charge and has chosen to allow workers to use the facilities. It is unfortunate if that troubles your sense of security.

To my knowledge there have been no attacks in restrooms here in the long history of our community. If there were, I am certain the news would spread like wildfire. I would invite any real knowledge of dangerous restroom episodes occurring here. I think we all would.

There are people of questionable intent in this world. They can live anywhere and look common, weird or wonderful.

Allowing a guy who works hard for a living, under company supervision, to use a public bathroom when needed is how it is done here.
A key card, for one thing, registers an identity of who's entering. The gate cards register in who's coming thru.

If somebody is entering the restrooms/shower facilities for purposes of harming someone, are they going to log themselves in with their ID card? I don't think so.

While we're on that subject, why do we have resident ID cards to enter the rec centers and to use the golf courses, if it's okay for anybody on the street to stop in and use them?

I still think some "rest stop" areas with PUBLIC bathrooms should be built along the main highways like 466 and 466-A etc. They could be set up like the interstate rest stops, where there is area information and refreshments to buy in addition to restrooms. TV could provide sales/visitor information and point people to the sales centers for a tour etc.

And regarding this: "Allowing a guy who works hard for a living, under company supervision, to use a public bathroom when needed is how it is done here"……..

Who says all workers here are "under company supervision"? There are oodles of lawn workers who work on their own, without "company supervision". That's why there's another thread going right now about the LIABILITIES a homeowner can incur by having uninsured workers getting injured on your property, or if they steal or wreck something!
