Actually the term thrown about is "climate change", which has occurred on a continuous basis going back a really long way and will continue to occur. The real issue is how much of a perturbation on natural climate cycles is caused by man's activities. The only "evidence" of the impact by man's activities comes from climate simulation computer models which have been generally unreliable and are not yet suitable for making public policy decisions. As with almost everything, follow the money to see who benefits.
