My husband was stopped in Indiana in the middle of nowhere. He and his boss were driving to one of their facilities you literally can't get to by air. On a divided highway where he assumed the speed limit was 70, it was really 55.

Our sons had long ago given him a MI vanity plate that said Vietnam Veteran. The young cop who stopped him went back to his car, called in the DL, found no infractions, came back and gave him a warning, saying Thank you for your service. Please slow down.

As they were driving away, his boss was reading the warning to him: Glasses. Color of eyes: hazel. Hair: bald.
