I started watching for this when it because a big subject on this forum and I would say that 99% of the drivers that I observe safely roll through stop signs.
Yes, I know what the law says. What I am saying is that almost no one observes the letter of the law. The few that do are on here screaming about. I have lived in several states and countries and I have seen this behavior everywhere. The Villages is no different and if people are being ticketed for it, it is only because the officer is having a bad day or the local government needs the money.
On top of that the response of the officer in this case was rude, disrespectful, uncalled for and unprofessional. Every person stopped by LE should be treated with the utmost respect and referred to as sir or ma'am unless they give reason to be treated otherwise. I know that they deal with a lot of crap out on the streets. I know the job is very difficult and I also know that they are trained to treat the public whom they serve with respect.

Well said.
Customer service in this job is no different than any other..There are risks and aggravations in a large percentage of jobs.
What ever happened to the yield sign, a lot of the stop signs could actually be replaced with a yield sign and be a lot more sensible .
