Many consumers contacted Maytag and were ignored. I was one such consumer. My advise is to choose another brand. The Maytag serviceman isn't like years ago when he was bored having nothing to do! Oh, I did get my unit serviced and there is a specific repair kit that is available. This should tell everyone that there is a problem. Eventually, hopefully, there will be a recall on this refrigerator.
