In the seventh grade my class went to that Worlds Fair. I hung out with Marty Brack and we both had a reputation for always being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Like being on the Belgium Waffle line while everyone else was sitting on the bus. We thought we were so open to new ideas. Can you imagine putting ice cream on a waffle? Those Belgians sure know how to live. When we did make it to the bus Sister Jovita was not happy with us but we had the time of our lives. We made up some lame excuse while holding the waffle.

We were so young and naive. We thought in the year 2000 the world would look like the Jetsons. The Worlds Fair reinforced that vision. With all those futuristic buildings and escalators. I fell in love with animatronics. Remember how real Lincoln looked or that little dog in the World of the Future.

hey OPey, thanks for the memories
