Alright, to use a hackneyed phrase, it is what it is, and we all agree on what it is. Still, I admire the editors for their ability to develop great human interest stories. They must have a wide network of sources tipping them to captivating stories about people who live here and their curious experiences. You know the kind I mean: two guys standing in line at Happy Hour discover they shared a roll of toilet paper in a foxhole during WWII. True, however, some of those tales are a stretch, e.g., "NASA lands probe on a comet...Helen Broomduster, 79, dated one of Bill Haley's Comets." Hey, it's all infotainment in the mainstream media for the most part anyhow, so more's the fun.
