Default Re: Real Estate Article

This article brings to mind several positive aspects of The Villages for those considering a retirement relocation:

- Those of us who retire in our 60's know there is little time left (20 +/- years?) to enjoy life. (My "plant-no-small-trees" philosophy.) We don't have time to wait for our new community to recover and mature.
- The Villages is here. It is a full-fledged community. Even in the new areas under construction, the roads, water, sewer, storm drainage, golf courses, clubhouses, and pools are built well in advance of the surrounding homesites. :beer2:
- With regard to Florida's ad valorem tax meltdown, which will result in local governments becoming more and more hard-pressed to provide an acceptable level of community services because of the looming tax revenue constraints, The Villages, because of the CDD system, won't be impacted to nearly to the degree of a "typical" Florida city - only to the extent we depend on County services, which is not a whole lot.
