Does anyone ever look at the "other" website (that the name is no allowed to be posted on here) and see some of the people that are arrested here in TV? Do you really think that nothing could happen to you here? This may be "Disneyland for Adults" but in the short time I've been here, I've come to realize that there are some real trash and low life that both live here and/or come into TV to shop/eat/work. My wife and I feel fortunate that we both worked in a profession where we had to watch our "6" at all times (and continue to do so) so we could be totally aware of all of our surroundings and not be caught off-guard. Are we paranoid? Nope, we just don't like surprises. We would rather take our chances with 12 rather than be carried by 6.

You will find, unless it changes dramatically that there is very little awful crime here. I have learned that the people who do have guns are very careful and respectful of them and careful of others. They don't brag and talk about them and try to show off. In eight years there has been very little to worry about here. The online news shows who is arrested and that is a huge help to understand just what is going on... But this is about as safe an area as you can find anywhere. The three law enforcement agencies are on their toes and work hard at keeping us safe.

I think that what makes people annoyed, when new people come here and tell us we don't know what is going on.That we are a bunch of naïve innocents and we should arm up. We have had burglaries here, a rash of them, but they arrested 17 perps within months after that and we haven't heard anymore about it.

The people to be concerned about and to check out carefully are the scams and some of the lowlife contractors that enter with your approval through your front door. I am glad that the people who want to have guns have them and those that don't don't have them. It is a matter of personal choice. Unless and until we see the need or real trouble brewing, we who don't have guns, won't change. I guess I don't like evangelical anything. We are still here because we are aware and watching. We have lived a lifetime protecting what we have and teaching our children to be safe. We have run businesses and taught in schools and worked very hard and lived carefully and made wise choices. I am sure that when we think we need to get a firearm we will know it.
