I used to feel that no one should tell me that I had to wear seat belts. Then I was stationed in the UK shortly after they passed a seatbelt law with *really* hefty fines if you didn't wear them After about a year, news stories started coming out about the shortage of transplant organs. For those who aren't aware, the bulk of transplant organs come from violent deaths, often car crashes as the organs in those cases don't carry the disease or cancer cells that rule out most "natural causes" deaths.
I choose to wear seat belts, not because someone tells me, but because it just makes sense.
