Do you have a bug problem? If not, why not play the wait and see game? I have found that The Villages has a disease of being brainwashed by well-meaning neighbors and unstoppable pest control companies who put the fear of God in you.

My husband and I have lived here for over a year and do not have any kind of pest control service -- inside or out. We did have a couple of issues with fire ants outside, and treated the mound ourselves. We have never had a problem inside with pests of any kind. As long as you keep a clean house I seriously doubt that you will have a problem either. Before you contaminate the environment even more so that is has been already, why not wait and see if you realy require any kind of pest control service?

Unnecessary pest control runs rampant here. It's very sad that so many residents feel the need for monthly service when they don't have a problem and never had a problem. Why not simply handle an issue if and when it occurs?
