I am not sure I understand the negative Facebook comments. Realistically, TOTV is Facebook for Villagers.

What you share on either site depends on your level of comfort. Some people don't share a lot on TOTV, just like on Facebook. Some overshare on TOTV, just like on Facebook. Some get in bickering matches on TOTV, just like on Facebook. Some people waste too much time on TOTV, just like on Facebook.

TOTV can be an invaluable asset for someone learning about The Villages. It can also be a place to get your feelings hurt, or bullied, or attacked. Facebook can be an invaluable asset for far-flung families, or for marketing products or services. It can also be a place to get your feelings hurt, or bullied, or attacked.

If you think you have your privacy in this day and time let me tell you that in less than two minutes I know for a fact I can get your address, how much you paid for your house, and display a picture of the front of your house. Given a little while I can find out to whom you are married, to whom you were married, your children's names, and where you went to school. Given a hometown, just a little more time and a little money, a credit report and probably your social security number or credit cards.
