As usual on here...off track to bash the OP. The poor OP was just alerting us to a potential threat to our homes. Yes, the police came to my home also in reference to the above. They feel quite certain they are hot on the burglars trail, but were still snooping around, especially since I had apparently just had some work done outside. They advised me that of late, there appears to just be "quick" break-ins. No messes, no big items taken...straight to the jewelry boxes and coin jars. His advice, ladies, and gentlemen

, was to keep only your costume jewelry in your jewelry boxes if they are visible, and keep your good stuff hidden elsewhere. They don't appear to be going thru anything, just whats obvious. I know a lot of us ladies have those standing jewelry cabinets...he said take your good and sentimental stuff out and hide it. Also, yes...be careful who you tell you are leaving the home. Their entry was the front door...kicked in.
