We also researched only pet-friendly communities.
We moved to The Villages because there are two dogs allowed per household with no size restrictions.
I wish there were more dog parks - I think that would solve a lot of the angst about dogs.
Our solution is to visit the private dog park daily. We don't mind paying to use DDRR.
