Default Goney's - from baren to tropical !

We stopped by Goneys on 466 to look at their palms. Even though many landscapers will sell and install queen palms they are very susceptible to frost and may die. We were able to pick our Sylvester Palms which are very hardy. We signed our contract and within 5 weeks our job was completed and only one day later than promised. Tom at Goneys was extremely knowledgeable and made suggestions based on our lot, budget and our preferences. They did not use any heavy machinery on our lot. Palms were wheeled in by hand by six men. The crew worked professionally, with Tom on site throughout the five hours of installation. Extra plantings were brought in, and even near the end a few additions were installed in an area we had not discussed, including transplanting a plant from our front yard to the back. We met with Tom a couple weeks prior to choose our palms, which were tagged, and look at perennials to decide which ones were best. Their prices are so reasonable. We couldn't be happier with our backyard and we are confident that all the plantings are frost hardy and appropriate for our western exposure. We now have the tropical look we had envisioned. In addition to the palms and one bottle brush tree, they installed 25 perennials, tons of topsoil, mulch. The entire job was $4,100 with just a few dollars of his estimate. Other more expensive companies will tell you that they "guarantee" their trees and that is why they are so much more expensive, but if the frost kills them, they will not replace them.
Goneys location may be newer but they have been in this area since the 70's.
