I am sure the PD would welcome advice from anyone who thinks they can do the job better. How many people on here would be willing to put their lives on the line every single day to protect strangers who hate them, but want them there when there is trouble. How many people outside the military have faced 1 or more people who has a knife or gun coming at you to hurt you when you were called to come and help them???? Well, I have, and it is downright terrifying. Your mind actually goes blank for a split second, before you can respond, and then how you respond depends upon each and every situation, because they are all different. So, forgive me for not critizing every bad reponse a cop might, because so many times they are facing the posibility of their own death. You might have a thousand good outcomes from your actions, and save the lives of hundreds of people, or maybe you have 1 bad outcome. Wanna guess which one you will be remembered for?????????????? Now, I am NOT saving that the police should have a "get out of jail" card for any bad actions. I am just saying that police are human too, and we need to think about everything before we automatically blame them. We don't know and cannot perceive their feeling when they truly are in fear of their own lives. How would we react???
