While growing up in Erie I remember my father saying if we had less than 50 inches of snow by Christmas it was a mild winter!!!!! It was usually closer to 100 inches by years end.

We enjoy driving as we like to be in control of what where and when we do things.

I retired a million mile frequent flier in 1996....and have not been on a plane since. I will take the hassle and extra time to drive than the (supposed to be) shorter time and the hassles that are a part of flying.

I do not "herd" well at all. And to me that is what flying of recent years amounts to....herding! There are millions who choose to fly.....and there are millions who choose to drive. I just need to sharpen my projections when most of them will either be at work or in school or in bed (drive at night).

It is just a personal preference. I am not missing anything as over the years being in international-intra national businesses I have been to every place most want to visit.....more than once.

I have to agree completely about how inconvenient flying has become. I traveled extensively for work and have flown only twice since I retired. Driving would be preferable under almost any circumstance.
