I saw "Wild" over the Christmas holidays. If you are expecting the Reese Witherspoon of "Legally Blonde" or "Sweet Home Alabama" this will break those expectations. Reese sheds the "good girl/girl next door" persona to portray a woman who isn't always a "good girl." The movie is based on a true story of a woman who hiked the Pacific Crest trail about 20 years ago to come to terms with the death of her mother. The scenery is gorgeous, and Reese turns in a very good performance which will probably get her an Academy Award Best Actress nomination.
