gas cart batteries really don't last my miles. It by age as along with there elect. cousins. IMO you got the average age from that battery. Most places you buy them won't give long term warranty if so it's probably pro-rated anyway. (Why is this? They know about how long they will last) So IMO waste of money to pay for the extra warranty. You golf cart engine just like riding mower engine. nothing special about it.
Just got to make sure the posts are correct and the size will fit in your cart. Most batteries are priced by CCA's (COLD CRANKING AMPS) this is the amount of lead plates in the battery, so the more plates the more CCAs (power) and the longer it will last due to the extra plates.
Your battery probably be going dead for while and finely when caput with enough dead plate to quit turning it over.
So, you can spend anywhere from 75 dollars and up, but I would look at the cold cranking number like 350 to 550 or higher. Any thing under 230 probably won't last as long due to the less plates to hold charge and of course the battery weighs less due to the fewer lead plates.
I'M cheap so I just google prices and look at the CCA numbers find the cheapest one due to there are only 3 manufactures that make batteries course with specific customer requirements. Which usually just transferring sticker.
I usually replace my batteries every 4 or 5 years at the most so I don't get stranded some where. Cause IMO after that time limit it's only little matter of time before the die.
