But that's just me. I had to say it. I hope the Maine Coon Cat finds a loving home. My late brother had a Maine Coon, and if we didn't have a bird, I would take this one just as a way to remember.

I agree. I can't imagine not teaching a baby how to treat an animal. We had dogs and cats when our girls were born. They are so good with animals. My oldest has 2 cats and my youngest has 6. They have rescued all of them. I had 3 and just lost one to cancer. It broke our hearts.
