Triton will not have any available...or at least they told me they didn't when I called earlier in the week. They even checked with their Ocala location and none were available there either. Triton rents their knee scooters for less than half of the other places I called. The medical supply store which was recommended by my Dr. does not put them on reserve. They told me to call the day before I need it and they will hopefully be able to get me one. Really???? Well what if you can't get me one??? I will be up the creek with no paddle!

I checked on my insurance earlier in the week. Although I have very good health insurance, it does not cover knee scooters. When I had a previous foot surgery, my insurance paid for a very nice walker which I put my knee up on and used the walker as a scooter. Ackward? Yes...and it threw my back out of wack because of the height. The walker is up north and I am having the surgery here in FL.

Thanks for your input folks. I will keep plugging away at this. If it stays this cold I won't need one. I'll just stay home and roll about the house on my desk chair!
