Default 2015 Yamaha GC secondary INPUT SHAFT “hat washer” keeps shearing

Wondering if anyone else has or had this problem with their Yamaha golf cart.. noisy and vibrating....determined the secondary input shaft “hat washer” is too thin and shears off, causing the clutch to slip.. MECHANIC REPLACED THE WASHER TWICE BUT IT KEEPS SHEARING? What do you all think??? replace the input shaft and/or clutch or keep replacing hat washers or try to find a thicker washer to use?
Feedback on your experience please

If its broken off too many times, it may have ruined the shaft and /or the clutch. Not sure whos doing your work but if they are just putting a new washer on but not fixing the issue its going to continue to break. I hear its a simple fix if caught early.
