Good points. I do intend to buy, obviously, 1 golf cart first. I'll test out the commute first and see if there is any advantage. Who knows? I might even be working in Leesburg or elsewhere of campus anyway. But you are correct. I should check this out first before I jump in on an LSV.

I’ve seen this argument in other posts in the past and I just don’t get it. You cannot go anywhere in a golf cart in TV without sharing the road with other cars and trucks at one point or another. And I would guess that the majority of car/cart accidents occur at intersections and round-abouts. If I have the misfortune of a collision in a cart, I’d much rather it be in my Tomberlin wearing the three point seat belts than in a standard golf cart with no restraints whatsoever.

Just wondering, do you use your cart on TV golf cart paths?

why the wuestion? tomberlin lsv has 2 way switch...lsv mode and golf cart mode. so of course they are used on golf cart path...golf course...and the road. and safer for sure on all three

No Bogie, I don’t use the cart paths. In fact, I bought and registered my LSV so that I can cross 441 at Buenos Aires Blvd to get to the stores and restaurants on the west side of 441 using public roads that my real estate taxes maintain.

And unlike thousands of TV residents heading for Lowes and Wal-Mart, I do not drive my cart across the private residential property that lies between the Lowes parking lot and Orange Blossom Hills in TV.

the answer is no. a golf cart is more toy than a tomberlin which is a vehicle built by federal safety standards. dont even try to compare them. they are two different animals. the tomberlin is by far and away the better vehicle! dont let politics get in the way of looking at these vehicles. just because some of the parts are made in china some get a little carried away.

I need to see something in print written by someone qualified to make the statement that "the tomberlin is by far and away the better vehicle" until then I'll stick with EZ GO. An EZ GO lsv has to meet the same federal standards as the Tomberlin...gn

And No matter what when you cross 441 and get hit by a car, who gets the better of it.

Now, to get back to the original question... No, until I saw your post, I wasn't aware of this vehicle. I had known that it was coming, from speaking with a salesman, some time ago. Although I haven't seen the vehicle, I expect that it will be high quality, as are their fine golf carts. It does look like a Tomberlin, which I also have no personal experience with. I do have personal experience with Gem cars, and they are wonderful LSVs built from the ground up only as LSVs. If you are considering an LSV, you should check out the Gem, as well.

What company did you purchase your insurance from? I am really interested in NEV or LSV because they are built for what I intend to use this thing for. I am also looking at gas carts, but do not like the brakes.
