Thanks so much. I believe we are a couple of months away from the upgrade.

When you upgrade to lithium, they add a new digital gauge that has three readings. One is the battery charge in one ten of a percent increments, another is voltage, and the third I'm not sure what it monitors. Probably should ask.

Thinking about a Atomic

What are the rules regarding Atomic in The Village with regard to the MMP and crossing roads like 101 or 466. I keep hearing about should it be registered with dep. of Motor vehicles or do they need license plates?

Thanks

Unless it is registered as a street legal golf cart, it is the same as any other non street legal golf cart.

I am considering the purchase of an Atomic golf cart and hoping that some of the existing Atomic owners are willing to share some information. More specifically, I would like to know….

1). Did you purchase with the lithium upgrade?
2). Did you consider purchasing with the lead -acid batteries and then upgrade to lithium yourself?
3). How many batteries are actually in your cart and what are their specs and manufacturer?

Thank you in advance

Just a reminder, there is a Facebook group -Atomic Cool Kartz Owners. This is not affiliated with the Atomic Dealer. Good place to ask your question and/or contact other Atomic owners without going through all the other unnecessary comments you get from an open forum like this! You will need to request to join the group!

I don’t have, and won’t open, a Facebook account for various reasons. I took delivery of my Atomic cart today. When dropped off it had about 70% charge. I immediately plugged it in to charge. A few hours later it hadn’t increased its charge. The wife took it out to get familiar with it and drove 1 mile with A/C on. Battery dropped one bar. Plugged it back in for an hour and I took it out and drove another mile with A/C on. Battery dropped to low. Is it possible that battery of a new Atomic needs to have few charging cycles before it gains longevity? In your experience, how far can you go with A/C running?

Gel or lithium? I’ve had both and never had the problem you mentioned. With my lithium it can take a long time to reach 100%.

Gel….waiting on Lithium. They had to order it. I plugged it back in and it charged to ~80%. Took it for a drive. It seems to be performing better. Maybe the battery does indeed need to go through a few charging cycles.

Don’t think so, plug it in and leave it until the charger shuts off.
