Default Cooler for Yamaha cart - looking for suggestions...

I just got a new (to me - it's 2014 Yamaha) cart which doesn't have a cooler. I'd like to get one but have heard some suggest the Yamaha Drive cooler is too small?

I'd expect to occasionally have things other than 12oz cans (16oz bottles, Gatorade bottles, etc).

Suggestions?

I just upgraded to a larger cooler for my 2014 Yamaha. Works great. Here is the link:

In case you didn't know the "cooler" they have under the rear seat of the 4 seat Yamaha models are not insulated. Very disappointing.

We have a 4 seater (rear facing seats) so we did not get a cooler, we went to Walmart, found one that was a suitable size, around $20. NOTE: this one does not mount to the golf cart, no room, we just take it in and out as needed.

I have the exact same issue. Bought a 2014 and it's got the small Yamaha cooler, which is really small. From what I understand you can purchase a larger cooler from the villages golf cart stores. I was actually kicking around the idea of buying an igloo cooler and trying to remove the inner layer so that I could mount to the outer layer and then put it back together. I also saw the larger Yamaha cooler on Amazon and it was around $75.

When we bought our cart in 2015, there were two coolers that mount to the cart. We bought the bigger one. Check with the cart store and have a look.

The smaller black Yamaha cooler on my 2013 does not stay cold very long. They are known to be poor performers however I cannot replace it. My cart has two sand bottles and ball washer. Enclosure was made by LJ Tops and Bottoms (via TV) and fits neatly with my setup. Going to a larger/different cooler would require changing where the sand bottles mount and impact the enclosure. So I'm sticking with what I have.

Village Discount Golf Cars show an "Engel" cooler in their ads. Looks like a Yeti but don't know if it's as good. Standard golf car coolers don't keep items cold long enough for me.

In 2011 I bought a new Yamaha cart from The Villages and had the little 6 pack cooler that came with all the Yamaha carts for years. Finally two years ago I went over to Villages Discount Golf Carts on 466 because my neighbor bought his cart there and looked at what they had. They had the one like pictured below with the snaps on the lid, and they had a few new ones in the box. I asked how much and they said $100, so I said I like to buy one. They said, we don't have the mounting brackets here, you'll to go to our shop in Summerfield and get that, I said how much is that, they basically blew me off, I don't know they responded. End of them for me.

The Villages Florida

I went to The Villages Cart store at LSL next to Barnes and Nobles and they had two different ones. This one which you will see a lot and you can buy online for $40 but then the bracket can cost $35 more. They had it for $80 with the bracket.

The Villages Florida

They also had this one for a $100 with the bracket, it's as big if not bigger then the $80 one and weighs more and has more insulation, and the bracket uses the same holes as the old 6 pack cooler. I can go load it up with ice, drinks and food at noon, go to the course and tee off at 1:00 and play 18 holes and return home at 5:00 and it's still full of ice, where the old 6 pack would of been water. This is mine on my cart, I haven't been able to find them online.

just buy a cooler at Walmart. under $10...buy one that unzips on the top, it will fit in your basket, behind your seat. mine holds 18 beers, with ice, and stick the other 6 in the cooler that comes with the cart.... I still have ice at the end of the day, but no beer left
