Default Do you have to use tunnel?

I want to go to LSL from 466A. Is there any way to go not using the tunnels?

I don't think so. You can get from 466a to either the tunel at Buena Vista & Stillwater without going thru any tunnels, or to the tunnel at Morse and Stillwater (by Sweet Bay), but I don't think there is a way to get from below Stillwater to above Stillwater without going thru a tunnel. Only Morse and Buena Vista go thru (Canal routes you to the Buena Vista tunnel), and both have tunnels.

No way. Canal Street looks okay, but as that other Steve said, you cannot cross Stillwater Trail at Canal. You've got go to the tunnel at Buena Vista!

They are under a street, so they are the width of a street. Maybe 50 ft?

The tunnels go under the streets that have a speed limit of 35MPH or greater (Buena Vista, Stillwater, and Morse). According to Florida law golf carts can't drive on or cross streets with speed limits above 30MPH, therefore the tunnels.

Steve, thanks for your reply. My other half hates tunnels, however 50 feet she can handle.

Ride bikes - even tho they go slower than a cart they can still cross roads (strange law).

My brother wanted to bring his golf cart here but it has 12 inch wheels and a high top. He doesn't think it will fit in the tunnels. Thanks for all the info.

I'd measure the height of the cart and then do a search out here for "tunnel heights" as there was a thread awhile back (not too long ago - maybe 60 days?) where there was discussion about the tunnels north of 466 being lower - and they are. Anyway, someone posted the tunnel heights in that thread.
My cart has 10" wheels and I have lots of room above in the tunnels south of 466.
