Default Generator belt loose

I have a 2002 reconditioned gas Club Car. The generator belt keeps slipping. I'm on the fourth new belt in the last year and I readjust the tension and tighten it about evey 2-3 weeks. I'm using the 1/2" X 36" OEM belt. Any suggestions on how to eliminate the belt slipping issue?

Default generator belt

You may try going auto parts store and see if they can match it with a ribbed belt if the one you are using is not this type. Also are you sure when you make the adustment it is holding and not moving later. Belt should not continue to stretch after a couple of times.

try going to the web page listed below. They have a lot of helpful information for golf carts, and may have the answer to your problem.

If your adjusting the generator belt properly!! you should not be having a problem with it. When adjusting the belt it MUST be adjusted VERY tight no slack.
