Golf Car Squeaking
For Stinky
We have 2007 Yamaha gas golf cart. Making a terrible squeaking noise that is coming from where driver’s side rear metal support meets the roof. It squeaks even when it’s not running, as soon as my husband sits down in driver’s seat. He removed all of the bolts, lubed inside the support and bolted it back up again but that didn’t work. Any suggestions what this could be? Any help is appreciated.

Check the screws holding the siding to the roof, I recently saw a cart where these became stripped and the metal for the enclosure was loose. I had to repair with pop rivets as the holes were too large for replacement screws.

One other thought, stand outside the cart and push on different areas, you will probably find the squeak, then try to listen carefully to see where it is coming from. I did this on another cart and found the front windshield was actually squeaking.

Check The Windshield
Mine was doing that & it was the windshield rubbing against the rubber seal. A little spray silicone fixed it.

I would also suspect suspension, maybe body where bolts to frame? Stand on one side and shift you’re weight up and down. For me hard to tell where squeak coming from. |
