If this is the typical vinyl decal you can usually remove using a hairdryer to heat it up and your finger nails or a PLASTIC knife or scraper. When you have the decal off use goo-gone to remove any residual glue. You will probably see an outline due to paint fading, short of repainting i do not have a solution for this, except a larger decal...

Be careful using goo-gone or other sticker remover products on a painted surface. I tried to use a sticker remover on my license plate and ended up having to buy a new license plate. It took the paint right off of the plate.

Goo be gone for removing from paint, not regular goo be gone, that mess up your paint

We used Bob Martin signs for our cart decals in 2019. He came out to our house in Fenney and installed on the new cart. Used to be on the squares but alas......

Here is his contact info if he is still in business:

Similar to the above posts...hairdryer to remove old decal, WD40 to remove any residue glue, etc and then a larger decal to cover up any fading effect.

Another vote for Bob Martin signs. They made our new cart names, along with a new yard sign. Good job.

I use 3M adhesive remover and it gets the residue off paint with no damage. I tried to get Bob Martin to make a fairly simple logo into a decal and he was unable to do it but didn’t tell me why. So I too am looking for another source if anyone has suggestions.

More than likely trademark and licensing issues

I used to do graphics professionally and always had good luck with 3M Adhesive Remover.

As for a custom logos, they are a hassle for artists. If the artwork is available its no problem, otherwise it can take hours to make something look right. Buyers don't think they should have to pay for those hours.

I hated custom work, but friends wanted them done so I put in the time.

Bob Martin Signs is the way to go. They came to the house the other day, and in less than 5 mins he put the new name decals on our cart. $20. I called him one day and he was there the next with exactly what we wanted. I had taken picture on my phone of the fonts offered when we were up at Village Golf Cars (they gave me his card/info to call). He's apparently up at Spanish Springs on Tuesday nights and Sumter Landing on Wednesday for Vendor night, 5-9 p.m. 352-552-2800

I have removed names from a golf cart by carefully using the scraper end of a "5 in 1" painters tool. Just get it started and you can pull the rest off easily, but you must pull it slowly, and be patient. I did not have any residual glue, but if you do you can use rubbing alcohol, which is safer to use than goo gone, to remove anything that is sticky.

Hair dryer to remove, then use a cleaner car wax to remove the residual glue and outline of the old decal... pop open a beer and relax. Job well done

If fading has occurred usually a little elbow grease and a little rubbing compound on a rag should fix it.
