Default golf cart at golf course

We are just moving in for a couple of months in November... rented a golf cart for our stay...

Question, Can we use this golf cart when playing at Villages Golf Courses?

When you pay your green fees in the clubhouse and when you check in with the starter, no one will ask you if you own or rent your golf cart, or will they even ask if you have insurance. The only thing they will ask is, what color is it? The only item I could think that would get you prohibited from the course, would be the tires on your cart. If they're the standard golf course tires you'll have no problem. On Golf the Villages there is a tire policy, I cannot put a link to that page, so here it is.

In an effort to continue to provide the best quality golf courses possible, The Villages has implemented a guideline pertaining to tires that are allowed on the golf courses. This went into effect July 1, 2006. With the popularity of street-legal vehicles, the intention of these guidelines is to protect the conditions of the golf courses by having the golf cars use tires safer for turf use.

Below are the specifications used to determine the eligibility of the tire:

The manufacturer of the tire must refer to the tire as a "golf course tire".
The tire must have a rounded vertical tread with a maximum depth of ¼ inch.
The total width must be a minimum of 8 inches.
The tire pressure must not exceed 28 psi.
Golf cars that do not have the approved tires will not be allowed on any of the Championship Courses in The Villages. If a golfer only plays courses on the Executive Golf Trail, they will be allowed to use their cars, but will be restricted to paths only. All golfers with a reasonable accommodation card must have their tires on the approved list.

There are two lists of tires which have been approved during the inspections. One list is for tires approved for all four wheels and the other list is for tires approved for the use on the back wheels only. If there is a tire that is not on either of the approved lists, please call Dan Machande at 753-3730 and make an appointment to see if the tire may be approved.

Wow is right, overload of information for someone just renting a golf cart.

What how about trail fee??

That question is NOT allowed here! I know..... I asked! Feel free to ask ANYTHING about cart tires.

But at least JohnW answered the question, which nobody else did. Come on, it's a new poster asking a simple question. "Call Villages Golf"??? Everybody takes their non street-legal golf cart to the golf course. Simple answer. Be nice. It doesn't hurt.

No he didn't! Not entirely! I posted a link where the OP could get the correct answer. John W did not mention trail fees. You're correct everyone does take their non street-legal golf cart to the golf course and their street legal ones too. But they pay a trail fee to drive on the courses. Pay either by the year, 6 mos. or by the day. EVERYONE PAYS. This is all information you can find on that link. And I'm not sure how your post answer his question.
FACT: here you will get 1. YES 2. NO 3. MAYBE
I watch it happen all the time and post links and few open them!

I didn't think OP was asking about trail fees. I read it as Can you take your own golf cart onto the course, or do you have to rent one belonging to the golf course. It seemed like a simple yes-or-no question. I could have read it wrong.

The answer is right there in the beginning: " no one will ask you if you own or rent your golf cart, or will they even ask if you have insurance. The only thing they will ask is, what color is it? The only item I could think that would get you prohibited from the course, would be the tires on your cart."

Seems perfectly clear to me. And if you want to be dead sure, look at your tire sizes.

Everybody already here in TV, on this supposedly helpful-to-new-people forum, KNOWS you can take your own golf cart to play golf. I'm pretty sure he's not renting a street legal. It just required a Yes, not a link to 65 pages of golf rules where he'd have to dig around for an answer.
