Default Golf cart heater

If you've been looking for Coleman's GolfCat golf cart heater, here's the best price I found online - at meijer.com - brand new, in-the-box:

http://www.meijer.com/s/coleman-golf...ase/_/R-108927

You'll more than likely have to pay sales tax on the transaction. However.....enter promo code 'DECFREE' at checkout for free shipping!

I ordered one on 11/28 (Sunday). It shipped on 11/30 and I received it 12/02. Now THAT'S pretty prompt service!

** DISCLAIMER ** I have no affiliation with Meijer or Coleman!

Default Missing golf clubs

Someone may have mistakenly removed a set of clubs from a golf cart parked on the side of Cane Garden on Friday afternoon between 4 and 6. They look like Adams but are not. If you or someone you know did make that mistake, please send a private message so we can straighten this out. Thanks.

Thanks! You've solved my what to give my husband for Christmas dilemma. Like Martha Stewart would say, "It's a good thing."

That is a good price for the Golf Cat heater...they are about $80 at Ace Hardware.

But, beware, even with the cup holder adaptor they don't necessarily fit well in all golf carts. I think they are fine in the newer Yamahas. If you have an older Club Car with the full width dashboard, the larger cupholder holes are not a snug fit for the Golf Cat adaptor. If you search back on TOTV threads you'll see some creative solutions others have used to secure the heater.

Propane tanks are available at Walmart (about $3 each) or Sam's Club (pack of 4 for $10).

Saratoga.... sorry to hear about your clubs; hope it was a case of "mistaken removal" and not theft/Christmas shopping. Seems like we hear stories about thefts of clubs and other items from golf carts around this time of year. The Villages is wonderful, but, not perfect and not immune to property crime.

spk...I believe the difference between the Walmart product and the one at Ace .... the Walmart version requires a match to light it while the GolfCat/Ace version has an ignitor switch.

Also, I thought the Walmart version was more general purpose/camping...did it come with a cupholder adaptor?

Other than that, it should put out the same amount of heat.

Default Ace has Different Heat Ranges

The Coleman unit (which I purchased last fall) available from Ace Hardware has two levels of heat selection. Useful when the high heat output makes the cart interior too warm. Caution note: never direct the heat toward the cart windshield. Also be aware of side curtains flapping in the wind and touching the heater.

As noted in a previous post, the cup holder adapter can be wrapped with electrical tape (I use a piece of cardboard) to hold it securely in the cart's cup holder.

See what happens when I try to rely on my memory. We saw the one at Wal-Mart for less than $60 and opted not to buy it because it required an outside ignition source. We did find the one we have on line for $75. Should have checked my facts first, thanks for the correction.

Confirming the 4-pk. at Sam's and the price - happened to be at one (in OH) this evening and picked up some. Found them with the seasonal items - golfing, camping, outdoors items, etc. Thanks for the lead, villages07!! Best price on those that I've seen.

You can also wrap the cup holder with medical tape (I guess most tapes will do) until you get the thickness you need.

Took our new heater for a test run last night as we drove around and looked at lights. I have the one from ACE Hardware that has the electric starter. Worked fine and actually was a little too warm in the cart. We only had sweatshirts on too. The only thing I noticed was the odor and we vented the one side of the cart and that helped the problem.
