There are options on how they connect and you really should go visit installers to see which are dog friendly. We have two carts, one would be dog friendly and one would not. Dog friendly was more expensive. We don't have a dog but my wife was very specific on what she wanted in her cart so we spent a bit more for hers. Both carts have retractable belts since we don't wear them when golfing.
