Every day I'm alive I'm one day closer to the inevitable, so I get in as much as I can everyday I wake up.

Except the length of the charge. The faster your average speed, the more power consumed, gas or electric.

Also, I have been PASSED on the right by a golf cart, when I was doing 30 to 31 MPH in my car! I regularly see golf carts passing other carts in Pinellas place. It appears many people are just in a hurry.....

Hi, regarding speeding. On the MM paths, on a bike or a cart it is so obvious that many carts are exceeding 25 or so MPH. Our cart is set at 19. Fast enough to do anything in the Villages. W get overtaken and passed frequently. OK, 20 mph is 30 feet per second. Any wonder why there are so many near misses and actual events? Have you noticed how the paper does not adequately publish this item? During happy hours, it may be best to stay home. Speed kills folks, take it easy. bbbbbb

Carts going fast on the edge of public roadways don't usually effect or endanger others. What I find disturbing is the way people drive golf carts through parking lots or even in a villa community. Anytime I'm going through a lot, I drive no more than 10mph, I think about what if a dog or a child runs out in front of your cart and you're going 20+ mph, can you stop? Go to any Publix parking lot, and just watch. People think a golf cart is a toy and they can drive it like toy.

My cart does 40, but that does not mean I abuse it. I had a car that went 180, never went past 170.

I agree. Other than people possibly walking out in front of you between cars cutting through a parking lot is pretty dangerous considering most of these people don't look behind or around them when backing out of a spot. They throw it in reverse and go. I've witnessed this at Savannah, Lake Miona, and especially Seabreeze rec centers.

if the sheriff, set up a surveillance unit and ticketed some of the speeders, word would spread fast to slow down
