Sure sometimes. A beautiful Sunday. 14 miles to and from church alone. A ride in the afternoon to enjoy the beauty of TVs!

We just put in new batteries in out golf cart and went for about 55 miles. The older the batteries, the less mileage. I love electric as much quieter but if you run around a lot gas is the best way to go.

$2500 and you're all in.
50ish miles and 3500 charge life expectancy Which means, unless you're 40yo, it'll be the last time you buy a battery. Golf Cart Lithium Battery includes Lithium Charger RoyPow 48V 105A |
Also remember that a charge cycle is considered from full charge to completely discharged and charged again. Anything less than a full charge cycle extends the life of the cells. The way lithium cells are rated after 2500 complete charge cycles the battery will still have at least 80% of the original capacity! After 7 years of completely discharging the battery every day...

In reply to your question. My wife and I live in the farthest north village of Country Club Hills we took a round trip 10 days ago as far south as the Villages will let you go. Round trip it was about 38 miles and over 3 hours time as we got a take out lunch from Mallory and ate it in the parking lot. Trip lasted about a little over 3 hours. I cant imagine anyone driving more than that in one day.

A one hour drive, a round of golf, and an hour drive home can equal 50 miles. Or 150 amp hours, 50 is pushing the limits on lead-acid batteries. I built a lithium battery (LiFePo4) with 280 amp-hour capacity, which gives me about 5 hours or 100 miles of range. Plus 10-year battery life. So it is possible. A lot depends on your hearing and lungs. There's a reason Yamaha makes a quiet tech engine, gas is loud.

Permanentvacation, what’s your point. My first cart I bought in 2012 I drove for 5 yrs. & put 25,700 miles on it with basically no issues. To answer your question, yes a few times I put 50 miles on my cart. So what’s your question?

I have taken my pups for rides before and it has been over 50 miles; they love the ride. |
Yes!

I'm sure people go 50 miles at one time in their golf carts but if it was me, I'd probably be needing a kidney transplant. They are fun but definitely don't have a very smooth ride especially at the curb cuts!!!

Last year I played over 1000 rounds of golf on the executive courses and over 50 on the championship courses. I know I went over 50 miles several times in my Yamaha gas cart.

Or back surgery? |
Realistically, 50 miles in a golf cart means at least 3 hours of driving. Since it's approx 16 mi from Spanish Springs to Brownwood, and the same from Spanish Springs to Deaton Plaza, getting in 50 miles a day would be something special. I frequently hit 30 miles in my travels, as I rarely use a car...prefer golf cart.
