Hour Meters Yamaha Quietech?
Wich is the most accurate, gas gauge/hour meter or Stryker hour meter?
Mine read about 20 hrs difference. Thanks for your response. |

One may run of the ignition switch where other records when engine is running

Thanks. This makes sense. The Stryker reads higher.

If you watch the Yamaha hour meter, there is a sand hour glass type readout. It seems to register time driven only when the cart is either accelerating or running at a constant speed. When the cart is still running, but you let up on the gas to decelerate, it appears to stop registering time driven. I think the Stryker registers time driven whenever the engine is running, even when decelerating. If the cart has a few hundred hours on it, that could easily explain the 20 hour difference.

Just curious, does anyone have both an hour meter and odometer. I only have an hour meter on the Yamaha, with 884 hours, and am wondering approximately how many miles that would translate to?

Figuring 20 to 24 mph multiply times 884 hrs. Low side would be around 17,860 high 21,000 if your speed is consistent. At 20mph it would take an hour to go 20 miles. As a disclaimer your driving habits it may be lower or higher. I seem to remember this from 5th grade math maybe!

My 2020 Yamaha Stryker odometer reads 6722 miles and 417 hrs. Both readings are since new

My estimate would be 14,100 miles based on mixed use golf & multi-modal path.

My 2020 Yamaha has both. The Stryker reads 99.4 hours and the cart is 90.7 hours.

It's measure of life you have left driving in your golf cart
