Default Installing Seat Belt in Middle of Seat

Our daughter just had our first grandchild (sigh!) and will be visiting in May. We would like to have a seat belt installed in our 2011 Yamaha gas cart in the middle of the seat so they can strap in the infant seat. We have checked with Villages Carts and they will not do it. Any ideas?

Not likely you will find anyone with a conscience to do that. Try an unlicensed shade tree mechanic for that type of thing.

I installed a temporary belt myself for the grandkids. Just to discourage the pre-schoolers from jumping around. Too bad I can't bottle some of their energy. I bought the belt on Amazon ($15) and just drilled a couple holes. Not sure I'd recommend the infant seat, but it would secure it if you're going to do it.

So what do people do when their loved ones have an infant? The guy at Villages Golf Cart said, "Just carry her in your arms" That just seems so unsafe. At least if the infant car seat is belted in, the baby has more of chance of not being injured in an accident.
