Default Music in Golf Carts

My 2013 Yamaha EFI golf cart is in production. I am picking it up when I come down in late August. I just ordered a Radio/CD/IPOD player for it. For those who have radios in your golf cart, do you enjoy them, use them, or are they a distraction? I thought for long drives, particularly on rainy days when the sides are closed, it might be nice to have music.

We have your basic AM\FM and listen to primarily to WVLG and an FM station during the holidays. We do not find the music a distraction and it really adds to the golf cart experience. You won't be worry.

My neighbor just had one installed by Best Buy on 27/441, he drove by and I could hear it from 50' away. I haven't had a chance to check it out but he was jamming some classic rock. WIND 95.5 out of Ocala is a good station.

We have a Panosonic in our Yamaha. It is a CD/AM/FM. I love having the music and radio.

I have a gas cart and it would seem to me that a radio or cd player would be hard to hear. I use an iPod with earphones to listen to music when driving.

Probably a good idea to only use 1 earpiece. You can't hear horns or emergency sirens.

I sing to myself in our used golfcart but not at stop signs.

Actually you just gave me a great idea. If I run into a golf cart traffic jam, I will sing. Then I will have a clear path out within seconds. My fifth grade teacher told both myself and one of my still best friends just to mouth the words at the Christmas concert, she said we sang like frogs. Have never sang since!

You had Mrs. Dwyer too???

The first words my grandson spoke clearly were..."no sing grammy"!

Thank you for your consideration to those you pass by. Some people blast their radios in their carts and I really don't want to hear your choice in music. We are constantly bombarded with music playing - in stores, in restaurants and at town square. Is there something wrong with the silence of your own thoughts?

I agree. i had some guy driving one of those custom carts going well over the speed limit with his radio blasting while passing me first thing in the morning and it was not a pleasant experience. I took one look at that guy and his attitude matched his face. he had his state license plate on the back but I'll defer in identifying it out of respect for the remaining residents.

We have a gas cart - love the radio - no problem listening to Am640
I did hear from other people that with an electric cart they could not get am 640
The radio enhances our long golf cart rides
