Schaumburger, being originally from Iowa (you obviously were born with common sense :)), and surviving getting around in Chicago for all these years, you won't have a problem getting around in TV!!!!!
:crap2:

Well thank you. Actually I have a pretty good sense of direction, and if I get lost, oh well, I'm in TV to have fun and relax, not rushing to get to a meeting or to an appointment...if it takes me 15 minutes longer to get somewhere, that gives me a chance to see more of TV.

No need for the sign. Just wave your map around when someone comes by and you will most likely get help straight away.

no need to buy a map save the $5, you could pull out a map of north dakota and get the same reaction...gn

In addition to the $5 BIG map with every street on it, you can get a FREE smaller golf cart trail map at the Sales Center. It's handy to keep in the golf cart.

:a20:

But honestly Schaumburger, if... ur, I mean when, you get lost, you won't need to pull out your map of North Dakota. All you have to do is slow down and look lost.

Schamburger.... If you can find your way around in Woodfield Mall, you'll be fine in TV....

Schaumburger 06-17-2011 08:47 PM

Da Mall? I stay out of the mall!

Thanks all, I didn't know there was a map of just golf cart trails.

Gotta stay out of that Woodfield Mall -- do you know what the sales tax is in Cook County now -- try 9%! And it was 9.25% until a few months ago. :grumpy:

Hello Orps1, From what I've read on TOTV the golf carts provided by TV's sales dept. during Lifestyle Preview visits are slower (max. speed 13 mph?) than regular golf carts The owner of the house I'm renting said the golf cart that comes with the house will go a maximum of 20 mph. Since I believe the golf cart speed limit is approx. 19.5 mph (someone correct me if I'm wrong), I think I will be OK speed wise with this golf cart. And I won't be driving the golf cart in the dark during this visit. With my luck I would encounter an after hours alligator or some other scary nocturnal creature on the golf cart path.

The scariest nocturnal creatures on the cart paths I've run into are the ones returning home from the square or Crazy Gringo's, etc; half in the bag with cataracts and headlights aimed in your face.
:undecided:

That is exactly why I won't be driving the golf cart at after dark during this visit. Don't want to run over a future neighbor!

Where is Crazy Gringo's? :)

Jim 9922 06-21-2011 12:17 PM

Sorry, showing my age. Crazy Gringo's was in the Spanish Springs bowling alley.
Things change around here.
