Default Painting An Old Club Car

I'm thinking about repainting an old (2010) Club Car I picked up used.

Any recommendations on who to do this, and approximate cost?

Thinking of pimping this baby up.

If you want to really pimp it out, consider getting it wrapped. If you can imagine the design, they can do it.

Interesting idea. I'd never heard of it, and YouTubed it.
What is the advantage over painting?

Does the wrap hold up as well as paint?

Any idea of cost vs. paint?

No thanks...I'd rather be easily seen. I once got in a heated argument when I didn't see a pick-up truck pulling out of a dirt road out of a wooded lot. He had the right of way, but I turned left in front of him. His quick reactions saved an accident.
His truck was painted with green reeds, and brown long grass, pretty much just like the terrain he was pulling out of.
At a traffic light he rolled own his window and yelled, with a few expletives "Hey, didn't you see me back there", and I yelled back "Hell no. Of course I didn't see you. Your truck is camouflaged. It's designed not to be seen. Good job! Thanks for not hitting me, though"...
I don't think he got it.

I grew up in Cincinnati, a huge Reds fan, and especially a JB fan. I remember those Krylon commercials.
I read somewhere that the total of all of his baseball contracts was $2 Million, and read somewhere else it was $4 Million...if he'd played a generation later he wouldn't have needed those Krylon commercials.

IMO not worth it, especially it electric. Drive it till wheels fall off then move on. Before I would spend 1k plus in paint or wrap job I’d make sure rest of the cart in pristine condition. But, that me.

IMHO, I would approach this as a DIY. Strip off as much trim as possible. Using painters tape cover the areas NOT to be painted. Use a quality automotive paint cleaner (from an auto parts store). Sand (1000 grit or higher) any areas where exiting paint is damaged. Apply automotive primer (spray can). Apply final coat , also spray can.

Golf carts are relatively small painted areas and 2 to 4 cans of spray paint should cover this area. Last time I painted a car (about 10 years ago) 2 gallons of paint cost several hundred dollars. Also, you can apply a clear coat if necessary.

Send me a PM with phone number if you would like to discuss further. i have painted 10 cars over the years.

Actually, now that I have the cart, it's in nicer condition than I thought. I'm going to leave it as is, as far as paint goes.

Why would the wheels fall off? With the rising costs of new carts, why wouldn't it make sense to keep an old but well maintained cart running and looking good?

I feel bad as my cart is about 20 years old now and still looks very good, but if you Google club cars, you'll find the guy in that I believe is in Tampa and has redone shells and swap them out for about 3 to $500

Maybe he wouldn’t have needed to bet on Reds games while he was the manager?

Is the original finish on your golf cart painted?

My 2001 Club Car is not painted. In all body panels the color goes all the way through. I could not imagine adding a coat of paint that would one day chip, fade, and/or peel.
